My Functional Neurological Disorder Symptoms
Functional Neurological Symptoms / FND Symptoms as you all know can vary all the time and even daily (from what I have experienced). I think this is what makes understanding FND and getting the grips of what do to when such symptoms arise is so difficult. For example the first FND symptom I had was a non-epileptic seizure and these where happening continuously up to 9 hours at a time. A few months down the line I was unable to speak properly and now suffer with a speech impediment. So as you can imagine, I was so worried and confused about FND and what would happen next. Below I have included all my now FND symptoms to which hopefully if you've come across my FND website looking for similarities in your symptoms this may put your mind at rest:
- Non-epileptic Seizers
- Speech Impediment
- Feet Dragging
- Walking difficulties (I now use a wheelchair)
- Trouble Sleeping
- Unable to tell the time (At some points)
- Poor concentration
- Memory Loss
- Feeling Confused
- Bowel Trouble
- Weakness In Limbs
- Poor Balance
- Severe muscle cramps
- Trouble breathing when having seizers
- Hand and Feet Swelling
- The feeling of being paralysed.
Like I said before I think the hardest part of Functional Neurological Disorder / FND is just to understand you have the condition and at some point you may have increased or decreased symptoms.
You may notice from time to time that I change my FND symptoms but will update you all via other social media sources. of such changes.
